Lions Comedy Night is a fundraiser for the West San Jose-Campbell Lions Club. 100% of the proceeds from this event support Lions Service in the community, including our Student Scholarship Program, which will present six $1,000 scholarships to local students this year. More information on this is available below.

This is an entertaining evening featuring no host cocktails, dinner, and three great comedians. There will also be a raffle, a silent auction — both with great prizes — and a treasure chest.

Event Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026.
Time: Doors open at 5:30pm. The comedy show ends around 9:15pm.    
Where: Orchard City Banquet Hall, 1 W. Campbell Ave., Campbell, CA.

Orchard City Banquet Hall is located next to a Campbell Community Center driveway located on S. Winchester Blvd. Entry to the event is on the parking lot or west side of the building, away from the street.

Marcus Howard is a San Francisco-based comedian known for his sharp wit and unique take on everyday life. Originally from Oakland, he was a 2024 finalist in the San Francisco Comedy Competition and a regular at the SF Punchline and San Jose Improv.

His comedy airs on SiriusXM, and he shares content on Instagram (@marcushoweird) and YouTube, where his full-length set “Black Excellence” is available. Whether live, online, or on the airwaves, Marcus delivers sharp, thoughtful humor that sticks with audiences.

Ashley Monique is a San Francisco-based comedian who delivers wry and sometimes dark humor with a disarming, earnest energy. She has opened for Melissa Villaseñor, Zoltan Kaszas, and Nimesh Patel.

Scott Simpson once came back to the U.S. from Japan by boat, telling his wife it was for the adventure when actually it was because he was afraid of flying. He’s now a full-time comedian and writer who has performed at festivals and theaters nationwide. He also runs and features weekly at Cheaper Than Therapy, the most popular independent comedy show in San Francisco.

Our 2026 Lions Comedy Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026. Tickets must be purchased in advance – we will not be selling tickets at the door. We are offering two types of tickets, with Early Bird, and Regular pricing:

    To pay by cash or check, download the form at this link. Give the completed form with your payment to a West San Jose-Campbell Lion, or mail it to the address on the form. Your payment must be RECEIVED by 4/1/2026.

    Can’t attend, but you want to help support our projects, including our $1,000 Student Scholarships Program? Donate instead!

    We also accept donations of used eyeglasses, or you can volunteer with us on a project. Follow this link to find out more about donating used eyeglasses and your time.

    • Platinum Sponsor, $1,000.

    We are also accepting in-kind donations of items for our raffle and silent auction. We are looking for items including but certainly not limited to: fine wine or craft beer; group wine tasting; movie tickets; gift certificates for a restaurant, miniature golf, movie tickets, or a massage; quality coffee beans; sports items (banners, jerseys, hats, memorabilia, etc.); sports tickets; high quality chocolate; artwork; jewelry.     Proceeds & Projects

    100% of the proceeds from this event go to the programs and projects we support, including to our new Student Scholarships Program. We don’t take any money out for “administrative expenses’.

    New in 2025, the Student Scholarships Program awarded a $1,000 scholarship to one student at each high school in the Campbell Union High School District: Branham, Del Mar, Leigh, Prospect, Westmont, and Blackford.
