Lions Comedy Night is a fundraiser for the West San Jose-Campbell Lions Club. 100% of the proceeds from this event support Lions Service in the community, including our Student Scholarship Program, which will present six $1,000 scholarships to local students this year. More information on this is available below.
This is an entertaining evening featuring no host cocktails, dinner, and three great comedians. There will also be a raffle, a silent auction — both with great prizes — and a treasure chest.
This year, we have four great comedians scheduled to appear!
Tyler Hinz, host No photo or bio provided.
Marcus Howard is a San Francisco-based comedian known for his sharp wit and unique take on everyday life. Originally from Oakland, he was a 2024 finalist in the San Francisco Comedy Competition and a regular at the SF Punchline and San Jose Improv.
His comedy airs on SiriusXM, and he shares content on Instagram (@marcushoweird) and YouTube, where his full-length set “Black Excellence” is available. Whether live, online, or on the airwaves, Marcus delivers sharp, thoughtful humor that sticks with audiences.
Ashley Monique is a San Francisco-based comedian who delivers wry and sometimes dark humor with a disarming, earnest energy. She has opened for Melissa Villaseñor, Zoltan Kaszas, and Nimesh Patel.
Scott Simpson once came back to the U.S. from Japan by boat, telling his wife it was for the adventure when actually it was because he was afraid of flying. He’s now a full-time comedian and writer who has performed at festivals and theaters nationwide. He also runs and features weekly at Cheaper Than Therapy, the most popular independent comedy show in San Francisco.
