May 30 Meeting Notes

  • Lion Bert Caro reported on attending Campbell’s Memorial Day Service. This year’s service started an hour earlier than usual, at 9am. Lion Bert didn’t know and had to scramble to distribute flags to the veterans in attendance. He reported that the brick the club had purchased was in place, and that more bricks are still available for purchase.
  • Lion Jan reported that she has answered the call to serve as the Zone Chair for Region 2 Zone 1 this coming year.
  • Lion Art reminded the club that this year’s Relay for Life will be on July 15. If members wish to support the Relay without actually walking, Lion Art welcomed them to sponsor him.
  • Lion Art reported that his son, Ryan, will be sworn in as an Officer in the SJPD on Monday, 6/5. This event will take place at the SJPD HQ, 201 W. Mission St., San Jose.
  • Lion Art also shared that at the end of July he will complete the sale of his practice and the moving of his office. The new location will be at the Family Eyecare Center, 338 E. Hamilton Ave. near Central Ave. in Campbell. He will be working about 1 day per week. (Sounds like advertising, doesn’t it?)
